There are places that stop you mid-step. Chefchaouen is one of them. Tucked into the Rif Mountains, its blue-washed medina unfolds like a painting - layered stairways, carved wooden doors, cats asleep on ancient corners. The light here is soft and specific; it belongs to this city alone.
These images were made on the ground, wandering the medina at different hours - golden morning light filtering through archways, the call to prayer echoing across terracotta rooftops, a city celebration spilling into the streets. They capture the texture of the place: the handcraft, the hospitality, the slow and luminous pace of daily life.
Featured property: Dar Jasmine, a hilltop riad with panoramic views over the medina.
