Soho House Toronto’s 7th Birthday. the Integral House, Toronto 2019

Soho House Toronto celebrates its 7th birthday, during TIFF 2019, with DVSN and founding members, at a one-of-a-kind, world-renowned venue, that’s been designed with music in mind.

Role: For the event, I booked the venue, talent, food and drink. And in a larger capacity, for the brand, I am the Head of Membership & Communications at Soho House Toronto (2018-Present).

We take Soho House founding members off-site to show them a true Toronto cultural hub, while celebrating another year!

As a nod to Soho House’s earlier days, we’ve dubbed the evening “House Seven” - to celebrate Toronto’s 7th birthday, on the 7th of September.

For this special evening out, we adventure beyond our four walls to a gorgeous home and creative centre in Rosedale for an exclusive event, with familiar founding faces, drinks, bites, live music by DATSUNN and a surprise set by DVSN on the gorgeous grand piano on the venue’s main stage!

the Integral House’s original owner, math textbook magnate James Stewart, had the 17,000-square-foot Rosedale home built to his exact specifications, reflecting his two great loves: calculus and music. With strange curves, floor-to-ceiling windows, panoramic ravine views, graceful white-oak slats, no sharp lines; the space was designed for music to flow through. It’s one of Toronto’s most creative architectural marvels, and is quite literally created by and for the artist. For those reasons and many more, this venue was the perfect choice for the Founding Members and surrounding creative community of Soho House.

Live producer DATSUNN provided a 4-hour set and DVSN headlined the evening with a 5-song set at the height of the night.

The official photographer for the evening was the talented Othello Grey, who is known in Toronto and beyond, for his captivating editorials.

Additionally, there was a photo booth that printed takeaway strips for each guest to capture and share their experience.

Here, you can see the combination of Othello's work, guest’s captures from social media, as well as some photo strips from the experience.

Collectively, the visuals beautifully complimented the artistic integrity of the venue, and overall evening.
